PSEB organizes visits by business delegations from Pakistan to various countries. This provides them with an opportunity to interact with their international counterparts; share best practices; and showcase their new and upcoming products/services in emerging, as well as established markets. 

Many public and private-sector business delegations visit Pakistan in order to explore new avenues for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). PSEB arranges visits for them to interact with major players and leaders within Pakistan's IT/ITeS industry, and with the government.

PSEB has also taken the initiative of conducting mini events (outbound delegations) to create matchmaking opportunities for the local IT companies abroad. Mini events are customer focused events where leading IT targeted groups gather and provide an opportunity to the visiting Pakistani IT companies to present their products and services. 2008
In collaboration with Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), Texas Trade Council (TTC) and Pakistani Consulate Generals (PCG), PSEB organized USA Mini-Events in Houston and Austin in Texas, Palo Alto in California and Chicago, Illinois from 16 - 25 January, 2008.

2007
PSEB organized Ireland Mini Events in Dublin 07 -10 November, 2007 which was a huge success in terms of substantial business leads acquired during the event. On 16 June, 2007, an MoIT/PSEB delegation comprising Secretary IT, MD PSEB and Director Marketing PSEB undertook a visit to Texas, New York and California OPEN Forum 2007 - Rational Exuberance OPEN Silicon Valley's 4th Annual Business Conference in USA. The visit resulted in several trade and investment leads. Earlier from 30 April – 4 May, 2007, with the help of Pakistan High Commission in UK, PSEB arranged UK Mini Events which took place in London, Manchester and Leeds.

PSEB facilitates the Pakistani IT/ITeS Industry by providing networking opportunities to the business and entrepreneurial community. Such networking opportunities include PSEB-sponsored participation of the IT companies in national and international events, road shows and investment seminars. PSEB participates proactively in leading industry events in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

PSEB also plans to participate in other international events as per its Proposed Schedule of Events, provided its member companies express an interest in doing so.

In 2008, PSEB established a customized country pavilion at CeBIT Hannover event 4 – 9 March, 2008. The exhibiting companies reported significant business deals with leading IT executives, entrepreneurs and other industry executives in Europe.

Mid 2007, PSEB along with its 10 member companies participated in GITEX Dubai from 08 - 12 September 2007. PSEB also participated in a Single Country Exhibition in Kenya organized by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) 31 August – 2 September 2007. Earlier in the year from 15 – 19 April, 2007, PSEB sponsored the attendance of eight member companies in GITEX Saudi Arabia. PSEB also participated in MEFTEC Bahrain from 12 – 13 February, 2007, along with sponsored member companies.

PSEB also encourages participation in domestic events and exhibitions of its member companies. Special exhibitions /events are also arranged as per the requirements of Industry.

Based on this criterion, and depending on the number of participants, and available sources of funding, short-listed participants are informed of their inclusion in the delegation. PSEB will bear two-thirds of the cost of the stall space. The exhibition's participants must make their own arrangements for visas, travel, accommodation and meals, etc.

Pakistan Software Export Board prepares marketing collateral to disseminate at national and international industry events, the objective of which is to highlight Pakistan’s soft power on the map of the IT world. In this regard, video documentaries, presentations, print collateral, online and gateway advertisements regarding Pakistan's IT/ITeS industry have been developed under its “Marketing Launch” project. These are available for free distribution. A copy of these can be requested by contacting the marketing department.

• PSEB has recently published its first ever IT industry yearbook comprising profiles of 290 IT companies. The year book also includes a soft copy in the form a CD.  
• In addition, an interactive CD of Pakistan IT industry has also been designed which includes a database of 1161 IT companies along with their contact details. It also includes a few videos and product demos. Translated version of the CD in Chinese & Arabic language will be available soon.

Promoting Pakistan as a competitive choice for outsourcing is vital in order to secure foreign investment in the IT sector. PSEB aims to promote Pakistan as the Destination of Choice for global IT Investors. Series of advertisements in the local and international print and electronic media are executed in this regard and lot more is planned in near future. In addition, PSEB continuously publishes the success stories of Pakistani IT companies in local and international media to wipe out the negative image of Pakistan globally.
