INTERNATIONAL DELEGATIONS
PSEB organizes visits by business delegations from Pakistan to various countries. This provides them with an opportunity to interact with their international counterparts; share best practices; and showcase their new and upcoming products/services in emerging, as well as established markets. Many public and private-sector business delegations also visit Pakistan in order to explore new avenues for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). PSEB arranges visits for them to interact with major players and leaders within Pakistan's IT/ITeS industry, and with the government.
Stakeholders (missions, embassy officials, foreign investors) interested in exploring Pakistan IT sector and arranging delegations both Inbound and Outbound to Pakistan are also encouraged. For further details please send your queries to: info@pseb.org.pk
PSEB has also taken the initiative of conducting mini events (outbound delegations) to create matchmaking opportunities for the local IT companies abroad. Mini events are customer focused events where leading IT targeted groups gather and provide an opportunity to the visiting Pakistani IT companies to present their products and services. OUTBOUND DELEGATIONS
PSEB MINI EVENTS CANADA (MONTREAL, OTTAWA & TORONTO)
Date: 21st -30th April 2008
Pakistan Software Export Board organized networking events in Canada from 21 – 30 April, 2008 in collaboration with High Commission of Pakistan, Canada Pakistan Business Council (CPBC), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) and various other local partners. Participating IT companies expect to acquire significant business from contacts made during the mini events which included detailed meetings with leading IT companies, financial institutions and trade associations in Canada. Further business opportunities are also being explored in collaboration with Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA), MK Consultants and ISIS.
PSEB MINI EVENTS USA (TEXAS, CALIFORNIA & CHICAGO)
Date: 16th – 25th January, 2008
In collaboration with Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN), Texas Trade Council (TTC) and Pakistani Consulate Generals (PCG), PSEB organized Mini-Events in Houston and Austin in Texas, Palo Alto in California and Illinois in Chicago from 16th – 25th January. Several of the nine accompanying IT companies expect to acquire significant business from contacts made during the mini event which included a large number of meetings with leading IT executives, entrepreneurs, and other industry executives in USA. USA expatriate and international media extensively covered the visit with nineteen articles published. Further collaborations are being explored with organizations like OPEN, Houston Technology Center, Greater Houston Business Partnership, and Austin Chamber of Commerce.
PSEB MINI EVENTS Dublin, Ireland
Date: 7th – 10th November, 2007
PSEB successfully organized mini-events in Dublin, Ireland from 7th – 10th November in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in Dublin, Ireland-Pakistan Business Council, Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Software Association (ISA). The mini-events consisted of receptions and business networking meetings with leading Irish companies. Several companies reported successes in generating promising leads and some have even submitted proposals.
OPEN Forum 2007 - Rational Exuberance OPEN Silicon Valley's 4th Annual Business Conference in USA

An MoIT/PSEB delegation comprising Secretary IT, MD PSEB and Director Marketing PSEB undertook a visit to Texas, New York and California. Meetings were held with the Governor of Texas, senior Government officials, and industry leaders. Presentations were made at IBM headquarters and at OPEN (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America) Forum. The visit has resulted in several trade and investment leads.
PSEB Mini Events UK (London, Manchester & Leeds)
Date: 30th April - 4th May, 2007
Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) took the initiative of arranging Mini events with the help of Pakistan High Commission in UK in order to foster trade between the UK based IT companies and Pakistani IT companies. The Mini Events took place in London, Manchester and Leeds from 30th, April - 4th May, 2007. PSEB sponsored twelve leading IT companies to attend these networking sessions and all the companies have benefited from this initiative. The visiting IT companies from Pakistan have qualified leads which will soon be transformed into successful business ventures. Three Pakistani companies snapped contracts from major UK companies.

Visit of US delegation

PSEB held a networking session with Mr. Mark Ellison, Managing Director, Texas Emerging Technology Fund and with Mr. Faisal Amin, President Texas Trade Council (TTC) and US Honorary Investment Consular, in Islamabad on Thursday, June 28th, 2007. Federal Secretary for Information Technology, Farrakh Qayyum, was the Chief Guest. The event was attended by various businessmen and leading IT professionals. PSEB also signed an MoU with TTC during the event.
Visit of Bradford and Leeds Chamber of Commerce delegation

A delegation from the Bradford and Leeds Chamber of Commerce visited PSEB and discussed ways for increasing collaboration.
Visit of the Chinese delegation headed by Mr. Zhao Wenzhi, DG, Ministry of Information Industry, China
Date: 7th February, 2007
The first meeting of the Pak-China Joint Working Group on Information Technology Industry was held in Pakistan with the Pakistani side being led by MD PSEB and the Chinese side by Mr. Zhao Wenzhi, Director General of the Ministry of Information Industry. Both sides committed to work closely in the areas of trade promotion, VC Funds and IT Parks.
Visit of Egyptian delegation headed by Mr.Twafik Elrashidy Director, Egyptian IT Development Board
Date: 14th December , 2006
An Egyptian delegation visited PSEB in November, 2006. Director of Egyptian IT Development Board Mr. Twafik Elrashidy visited the PSEB office for a detailed presentation on Pakistani IT Industry and the incentives offered to foreign companies. Mr. Elrashidy showed keen interest for matchmaking with Pakistani IT Companies.
