In the current fiscal year, 1160 interns have been placed under PSEB's "Internships Phase-III" project.

The selection procedure of training companies for the lead implementer training in ISO 27001 is currently under process.

  Facilitation
 

Twenty one new IT companies were registered with PSEB in this reporting period with seventeen new call centres. Twenty two IT companies and seven call centres have renewed their registrations.
 
The OSRC will launch its 2-day, free-of-cost Open Source Database Management System Training Program, in collaboration with EnterpriseDB Corporation, USA, in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, using PostgreSQL, a powerful, open source object-relational database system. The tentative dates for the training program to be held in the following cities are:
 
* Islamabad: 29th-30th June 2009

* Lahore: 6th-7th July 2009

* Karachi: 13th-14th July 2009
