MD PSEB met with member IT companies in Karachi.

The first seminar Economic Prosperity through Business Processes Outsourcing /IT" held in Mirpur, Azad Jamu & Kashmir. The seminar was the first of its kind in the history of AJK.

Newsletter has been released to member IT companies regarding upcoming exhibition and conference ITCN ASIA, which is schedule to be held on 3rd- 5th August, 2010 at Expo Centre Karachi.

PSEB has selected twenty-five member IT companies for participation in CONNECT Exhibition & Conference 2010, which is scheduled to be held on 8th -10th  May 2010 at Expo Centre, Karachi.

Systems Limited in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board, PASHA and Dawn News, successfully conducted a conference on "Automation of Banking Industry of Pakistan" on March 18th, 2010, at Marriot Hotel Karachi.

By the help of PSEB, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) had organized a two days workshop at Military College of Signals (MCS) on Agile Practices in Software Project Management.

In the current fiscal year, 1697 interns have been placed under PSEB Internships Phase-III project.

Industry Human Capital’s paper, entitled “Impact of E-Learning on HR Development of Third World Countries”, has been presented and published in New Learning Technologies 2010 conference organized by Society for Applied Learning Technology (SALT), March 3-5, 2010, Orlando, Florida.

The paper summarizes some findings of PSEB’s research study “The Survey of Engineering and IT Departments of Pakistani Universities” to highlight the need of e-Learning on HR development of third world countries by reducing the digital divide.

Twenty-seven new IT companies were registered with PSEB during this reporting period with twenty-two new call centres. Thirty-one IT companies and twelve call centres have renewed their registration.

A two member OSRC team participated in Asia OSS Master trainers workshop held at Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), Singapore from 08-10 March, 2010.
